Time:2026-08-26

In the past, metal halide floodlights were used, but now LED floodlights are the standard. LED floodlights generally use around 150W-200W. For a standard basketball court, installing 4 lights on each side is enough. If there are broadcasting requirements, additional lights need to be added.

Regarding the selection of basketball court lighting fixtures, traditional courts generally used metal halide lamps. With the increasing development of LED fixtures, LED lighting is rapidly entering people's view. As energy-saving lighting equipment, LED is attracting more and more attention. For indoor courts, LED floodlights have also received widespread attention.

The general requirements are: uniform court lighting, no glare, high cost performance, convenient installation and maintenance, and energy efficiency. The power of indoor basketball court lighting fixtures is mostly between 120W and 150W; the power of outdoor basketball court lighting fixtures is mostly 280W.

Basketball court lighting levels are divided into six levels: Level I (training and recreational activities), Level II (amateur competition/professional training), Level III (professional competition), Level IV (TV broadcasting of national/international competitions), Level V (TV broadcasting of major international competitions), and Level VI (HDTV broadcasting of major international competitions).
